Established by Dr. Valentin Fuster in 1997, the Zena and Michael A. Wiener Cardiovascular Institute (CVI) at Mount Sinai integrates virtually all facets of clinical and research activities in cardiovascular diseases. It provides a framework for the collaboration of cardiologists, vascular surgeons, radiologists, pediatric cardiologists, cardiothoracic surgeons, endocrinologists, other medical subspecialists, and clinical trial specialists.
Established in 2006, Mount Sinai Heart is among the world's leading centers for cardiovascular medicine and advanced diagnostic and therapeutic technologies, providing exceptionally compassionate care for patients of all ages. Extensive ambulatory cardiovascular care facilities are centered in the Marie- Josée and Henry R. Kravis Center for Cardiovascular Health, emphasizing multifaceted treatments for the reduction of cardiovascular disease risk, advanced imaging modalities for noninvasive detection of early and late manifestations of disease, and comprehensive diagnostic and management services.
