New multiple sclerosis therapies are developing at an increasing rate, and knowledge is expanding exponentially. In the first six months of 2010 alone, there have been numerous breakthrough announcements concerning new medications and treatments, some controversial. Patients demand the latest, accurate information to make the best treatment decisions and guide the management of their condition.
The Corinne Goldsmith Dickinson Center for Multiple Sclerosis at Mount Sinai Medical Center is presenting a free, day-long patient education Symposium entitled Changing the Future: New Trends in Multiple Sclerosis Research and Treatment. In this second annual event, world-renowned experts in MS and leading clinicians will offer the latest information in areas of research and future therapies, and recent findings in symptom management and patient care.
Speakers will include esteemed faculty from the CGD Center for MS at Mount Sinai; Jeffrey A. Cohen, MD, Director of the Experimental Therapeutics Program at the Mellen Center for MS Treatment and Research at the Cleveland Clinic; and others.
Mark your calendars! Last year’s event drew an overflow audience. Registration opens after September 15—look for further announcements from the CGD Center.
