About Liver Diseases FPA
Our core team consists of highly respected hepatologists (liver specialists) who are expert in the diagnosis and treatment of liver disease. Other specialists – including physicians in liver and bile duct surgery, infectious disease, radiology, and pathology – are called upon as needed to assist in your care.
Among the more common liver diseases treated by our physicians are hepatitis B and C, hepatic fibrosis, liver cancer, cirrhosis (all forms), metabolic liver diseases, genetic liver diseases such as Wilson’s disease and hemochromatosis, and both nonalcoholic and alcoholic steatohepatitis.
In our practice, we routinely treat patients using the latest technical developments and are continually performing new research into liver diseases and other conditions affecting liver function.
Mount Sinai physicians are leading a study in the New York metro area to raise awareness in minority communities at high risk for contracting hepatitis B and C. Read More
