Gynecologic Cancer

The Division of Gynecologic Oncology at Mount Sinai was founded in 1967, years before the discipline received official designation as a subspecialty by The American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Since then, our gynecologist oncologists have been at the forefront in the treatment of all gynecologic cancers — the most commonly occurring type of cancer in women after breast, lung, and colon cancers.

Our services include cancer screening, early detection, therapy, and post-treatment surveillance. The cancers we treat include cancers of the:

  • Cervix
  • Fallopian tube
  • Ovary
  • Uterus
  • Vagina
  • Vulva
