The Pathology faculty practice conducts a variety of laboratory tests for diagnosing disease in all organ systems. We have a wealth of different specialists available, and practitioners have particular expertise in radiologically guided fine-needle aspiration, a minimally invasive option for obtaining tissue specimens. Mount Sinai houses one of the largest and most comprehensively automated clinical laboratories in the world, featuring a state-of-the-art information system. The laboratory performs both routine clinical and lesser known testing with a rapid turn around. Every pathologist who is a Faculty Practice Associate is a staff member of the Mount Sinai Hospital and the Icahn School of Medicine.
The Pathology FPA is open from 9 A.M. until 5 P.M., Monday through Saturday.
