The Department of Surgery is committed to promoting innovation and excellence in research through its Surgical Research Program. Our faculty has contributed to the scientific community in many ways, including the advancement of vascular stent grafting technology and the development of new transplantation techniques. With over 100 active studies, our faculty strives to better understand surgical issues including how to increase recovery time, post-operative pain management, and genetic determinants of disease. We are privileged to offer our patients the opportunity to participate in groundbreaking research that is exclusive to Mount Sinai.
